Programme
New Opportunities for Better User Group Software focuses on advancing software for beamlines and scientific experiments in the following fields: Advanced data acquisition, AI/ML applications, Beamline control systems, Data Analysis, Data Reduction, Data Visualisation, Experiments automation, FAIR data management, Metadata + Data Formats, Open source collaborations, User interfaces and UX, Research Software Engineering, Detector Software and Workflow engines.
Organisers & Venue
The NOBUGS2026 conference will be hosted by the European XFEL from 22.09 - 24.09.2026 at the Schenefeld Campus Lighthouse Visitor Center, and is scientifically co-organized by DESY. Satellite meetings will be held on the DESY campus on 21.09., and 25.06.2026.
Accommodation and Travel
The European XFEL and DESY are located in the Hamburg area of Germany. The city is well connected through all common means of transport, and both campuses are readily accessible through Hamburg's public transit system.
Satellite Meetings
Satellite Meetings will be held on the DESY campus on 21.09. and 25.09.2026, and can either be half-day or full-day. If you are interested in organizing a satellite meeting, please reach out to nobugs2026 [at] xfel.eu.
